Meet Emma

Bear and Willow HR was founded by Emma-Louise Hutchinson MSc, a CIPD Level 7 qualified HR professional based in Hull. With a Masters in Human Resource Management, Emma brings genuine depth of expertise to every client she works with, not just knowledge of the law, but a real understanding of how people and businesses actually work. Emma is an active member of the CIPD, the UK's leading professional body for HR, ensuring her practice stays current, ethical, and evidence-based. In 2026, Bear and Willow HR was named HR Consultancy of the Year at the Prestige Awards, independent recognition of the quality and impact of the work. 

Alongside her HR practice, Emma has built trusted partnerships with Swain Safety Solutions for health and safety support, and with Breathe HR to give clients access to market-leading people management software as standard.
